The Passing of Sylvia Stephenson Pick

It saddens me to inform you that Sylvia Stephenson Pick, wife of Richard Pick, associate professor emeritus of Theatre and Television Arts, passed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Sylvia was also on VU’s staff, as costume designer and costume shop supervisor in the Theater department beginning in 1982. Besides costume design and construction, she wrote a number of short pieces performed by students, as well as some full-length productions, notably 1987’s The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet, and for the University’s 1984 celebration College Hill, the story of VU’s first 125 years.
