The Passing of Peter A. Major

It saddens me to inform you that Peter A. Major, age 82, Father of Karen Klimczyk, director of Financial Aid, Office of Financial Aid, passed on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

A visitation was held on Monday, October 27th, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (ET) at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502.  A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 28th, at 10 a.m. at Saint Peter Cathedral, 230 W 10th St., Erie, PA 16505.

Memorials may be made to Erie VA Medical Center, 135 E. 38th St., Erie PA, 16504 (Attention: Karen O’Neal) or Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home, 560 E. 3rd St., Erie PA, 16507. (Attention: Ken Vybrial) put in the memo for veteran’s needs.
