More Records Fall for Valpo Track and Field

Civil engineering major Micah Mullings won both the long jump and the triple jump at the GVSU Big Meet, held in Allendale, Mich. this past weekend. His long jump shattered the previous program record that had stood since 2011. In addition, Evan Walda, a biology and chemistry major, topped his own program record in the indoor 3,000-meter run. Three more Beacons cracked the program’s all-time top five in various events this weekend – exercise science major Tori Gerhardt in the women’s weight throw, Nate Smith in the men’s shot put and engineering major Noah Meacham in the men’s 800.
