Valparaiso Community/University Concert Band

The theme for 4:00 concert is “Radiance of Joy and Light.” Chamber Concert Band will be presenting the program for its fall tour of Indiana and Ohio. Soloing with the band will be saxophonist Ethan Preston, a senior music and political science major from Valparaiso. Among other the compositions on the concert are Winds Across the Water by Erica Svanoe, Private Eye Prowl by Jesse Ayers, and Radiance by Mark Lortz. The band will also play Alleluia Tapestry, by the late Chesterton composer Michael Boo, to celebrate Valparaiso University’s Lutheran Centennial.
The Chamber Concert Band is the premier concert band of three at Valparaiso University. Outreach performances have included schools, churches, and community events throughout the USA, Canada, and Malta. Conductor Jeffrey Scott Doebler serves as director of music education and bands at Valparaiso University.
Admission is free for everyone
