Few words are less understood than \u201cengineering.\u201d\u00a0 What is engineering?\u00a0 What is its purpose? Yet every year, millions of students across the world head to college to enroll as engineering majors \u2013 without knowing what they will be studying or what engineers do.\u00a0 As the global population grows and our resources continue to shrink, engineering still holds the promise of a great big beautiful tomorrow.\u00a0 But only if we can decide what that tomorrow will be.\u00a0
