18th Annual Valparaiso Memorial Day Concert

The 18th annual Valparaiso Memorial Day Concert will be held Monday, May 27, 3:00p. Due to renovations at the Memorial Opera House, this year’s concert will take place at the Valparaiso University Chapel of the Resurrection, 1600 Chapel Drive.

Admission is free for everyone, all seats are general admission, and no ticket is required.

Audience members are asked to bring non-perishable food items, which will be collected by the Christian Food Pantry of Valparaiso.

The concert will be performed by the Valparaiso Community/University Concert Band and will last about one hour. Per tradition, the performance will feature patriotic band music and historical narratives. The historical narratives will be read by members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War David D. Porter Camp 116. Volunteers from local Girl Scout troops will present the colors and sing a patriotic medley.
